1. What is a webvertisement?

It's designed to be a comprehensive and easy-to-access source of information about YOUR teaching studio, providing you with a studio web address of your very own, and a powerful new asset to attract students.. The idea then is that all your other ads can proudly refer prospective students to your studio website "for more information".

We've put together an introductory movie that will show your webvertisement in action.

In short, it's designed to make your phone ring, fill your schedule and blow out your waiting list. We're here to help you get more students, and no other ad you've ever considered will showcase your studio as thoroughly as your webvertisement can.

2. Do I need to know anything about web programming?

Absolutely not. We've designed this very carefully so that all you have to do is fill in the blanks - the site then effectively builds itself.

3. I don't know what to put on my site...

That's no problem. We've created over 50 different categories as prompts. Simply answer the questions as they appear - the full story of your teaching studio will gradually take shape, one issue at a time.

4. What if I don't want to include a particular category?

Leave it blank, and it won't appear on your site. So if you don't want your semester dates to be listed at your site, simply leave that field blank. The dates won't appear, nor will the heading. So your site will include everything you want it to - and nothing you don't.

5. How do I update my site?

You can edit your site at any time in the same way you created it - just go to www.musicteaching.info, and enter your username and password. Go to the section that contained the typo, replace it with what you really intended. Your webpage will be updated instantly. (See a demo of how this works)

6. How much does the webvertisement cost?

Webvertisement subscription is $44.95 for 6 months, or $79.95 for 12 months - a fraction of the cost of setting up your own webpage and then paying hosting fees. (And a fraction of the time too!).

If you want to check this for yourself, open the yellow pages, call a web designer, and ask for a quote on creating a studio website for you.

And then remember, every time you want to update the information, you'd have to pay them all over again. With your webvertisement, you can update any time you like, and there's no additional charge.

7. Where is my website hosted?

Your website is hosted on our own dedicated server (meaning that we're not sharing the server with any third parties), ensuring that visitors get quick acccess to your site. In fact, your site would be taking of advantage of the same infrastructure and access speeds that PracticeSpot.com itself does (which easily handles many millions of hits every month from music studios around the world with no visible slowdown.)

8. I don't like to use my credit card online - can I pay by check?

Unfortunately not - but you should know that your credit card transaction is handled by Worldpay, one of the largest credit card processing companies on the planet. They have state of the art security in place that we could never afford if we were doing it ourselves, and in the 4 years that PracticeSpot has been using them, we have never had a case of credit card fraud.

You should also know that no human being ever sees your credit card number. The whole transaction is securely encrypted - you'll see a little padlock symbol in the bottom of your browser as you enter your credit card details, confirming that it's a secure page.

9. Does my subscription autorenew?

No. We wanted you to have full control over exactly how long your subscription would remain active. We'll contact you a few weeks before your subscription is due to expire to remind you to resubscribe

10. I already have the previous version of the webvertisement through PracticeSpot - what will happen to my old address if I upgrade?

We can put a redirect on your old web address free of charge, so people who type in your old address will be automatically steered to your new site. This means that even if your stationery is already covered in your old address, it will still work when people try it, and best of all, the address will actually load your brand new site.
